The first time I experienced the LORD heal was when I was seventeen years of age. My family visited a church that prayed for the sick within their church service. My Mother who had been a seamstress for twenty or so years was suffering from chronic Arthritis in both her thumbs from years of ‘cutting out’. As we were sat in this church the minister asked for any who needed prayer to come forward but added that you could be healed right there in your seat. Suddenly she felt a great heat in her thumbs and by the time we left the church her healing was complete. Today twenty years later, my mother still remains pain free. Glory to God. This experience had a profound effect upon me as the church I was attending didn’t believe in miracles for today! I had seen with my own eyes that Jesus Christ definitely does still heal!
A few years later I was suddenly taken ill. I had been preaching that Jesus Christ still heals today and that miracles, signs and wonders still occurred as Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. I saw my GP who didn’t know what was wrong and signed me off work. Things gradually worsened and whilst waiting for a hospital appointment my doctor was seeing me early every morning before his surgery began.
I simply spent the day lying on the sofa reading Acts and the gospels over and over. It was one evening when my wife walked into the room to inform me a church member had phoned up to see how I was and was on his way over. At the end of his visit my wife asked him if he could pray for me and he was only to glad to do so. He prayed saying that the Lord knew what was wrong with me and that He could heal me and asked Him to do so. After his prayer he left. I was walking through the hallway and suddenly it happened. I had an intense heat starting to burn inside me. I had never experienced anything like this before. It was incredible. As my wife saw me in the hall she knew something was happening. I managed to walk to the sofa and the heat increased and began to move up and down my body. It started in my legs and was working its way down to my feet and then right up into my head. The heat continued up and down my whole body. Helen asked if I was okay and as I tried to answer her tears were streaming down my face. I was overwhelmed by God. She asked, ‘He is healing you isn’t He?’ He was. My wife suggested that I got up and moved my body in the way that I wasn’t able to before. I did, and as I moved the pain was gone, but the heat continued. It was awesome.
When I finally went to bed that night, the intense heat continued to travel throughout my body. I literally could feel it making its way up and down from my feet to my head. It was in my face, arms, hands, everywhere! I fell asleep still with this heat but when I woke up in the morning it had gone.
I remember laying there too afraid to move in case the pain was back (great man of faith I was!) My wife suggested that I listened to a worship CD as I had a walk around the village. (They say behind every great man of faith is a great woman of faith!) I did as my wife suggested and walked around the village three times pain free! Totally healed. Praise God!
Since that time we have seen so many healings and we thank Jesus Christ that by His stripes we are healed!

Who heals all your diseases…
